Greek Superleague, 7th Fixture Preview: Kavala vs Panathinaikos
By: Minas | October 17th, 2009
5 October 2009, Athens. Panathinaikos beat Larissa, and remain 1st in the Greek Superleague.
18 October 2009, Kavala. Almost two weeks have passed, and the “Greens” are ready to win another one game in this season. It will not be easy however, since Kavala is a good team. [they are 6th, they have some experienced players and they play nice football).
Many of our players are tired due to the international games. Some others, like Giourkas and Petropoulos, are injured. There will sure be some changes in the starting eleven. Simao will probably play instead of Gilberto Silva, while Spyropoulos is going to return to the starting eleven, since his injury is over.Salpingidis isn’t in excellent condition as well, meaning that Gabriel may begin.
Karagounis will probably start, and Ninis will stay on the bench. According to Greek media, some Italian clubs are interested for Ninis. I’m not surprised , to be honest. He’s by far the best Greek young player, and if he continues like that he will be even better. He could be even better if he hadn’t got injured last year, or if Peseiro had given him more chances to play 2 years ago.
Our starting eleven will probably be: Tzorvas,Vyntra,Bjarsmyr,Sarriegi,Spyropoulos,Simao,Katsouranis,Karagounis,Leto,Salpingidis,Cisse
Zeljko Kalac will make his debut for Kavala. Kavala’s coash, Papakostas, said that they are going to defeat us. Oh really. Fortunately for him, no one of his players is injured. It will sure be a tough match, but if we score an early goal, I think that it will get easier.
Pff,end of preview. I didn’t have enough free time unfortunately to write more things, but you got (I hope) an idea for this match. See you.
Bonus: Alex Tzorvas Tribute
